Carlo Ancelotti, Italian coach of Real Madrid has had coronavirus since last Wednesday. He again today tested positive for the virus and therefore, will not travel with his Real squad to London.

The manager of ‘Los Blancos’ is waiting to return a negative PCR test to at least be able to jet off to England on the same day of the match, and direct his team from the touchline on Wednesday evening at Stamford Bridge.

After not being able to lead all training sessions up to the Celta match, or travel to Vigo last Saturday, the club have their fingers crossed that Ancelotti will finally come back negative and things will return to normal. Despite the fact that the manager does not have any symptoms, as per the rules of the Real Madrid club doctors, he is still having to self isolate at home.

Ancelotti will not lead the early evening walk through session that the Real players will take part in at Chelsea‘s stadium this Tuesday. He remained in Madrid where he took another PCR test and awaits its result which should arrive on Wednesday morning. According to ‘EFE’ sources from the club, should the result come back negative, he will fly straight out to London to lead his team.
