Robert Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern Munich to join Barcelona and that is generating a lot of hate on social media. Therefore the striker has decided to return to Germany without his family. Anna Maria Lewandowska, his wife, and Klara and Laura, his daughters, will remain away from Germany while his departure from the German club is resolved.

Polish media outlet ‘WP Sportowe Fakty’ reported the footballer’s plan. He prefers to keep his loved ones safe and away from the spotlight. In addition, the ideal thing for him would be to spend just a few days under the orders of Julian Nagelsmann before Joan Laporta manages to complete his signing for the Spanish side.

That is something which, given his performances, makes the fans’ behaviour even more difficult to understand. The former Borussia Dortmund player has never scored less than 40 goals per season since the 2015-16 campaign and he has always shown himself to be loyal and committed to the project he has led for more than six years.

Now, he wants to experience a different adventure and there are fans who have even sent him death threats because of that. However nonsensical it may sound, Lewandowski has erred on the side of caution and therefore he has asked his family not to stay with him while he is at Bayern ahead of a potential move to the Catalan capital.
