Bale, Lunin, Rodrygo and Asensio all get COVID-19

Real Madrid confirmed the outbreak of coronavirus in the squad. After detecting the positive cases of Marcelo and Luka Modric, the club decided to do PCR tests on all their players and coaching staff on Wednesday. 

All members of the Real Madrid squad waited in their respective homes until finding out the result of the tests. That was the reason why the club decided to delay Thursday morning’s training session. 

In an official statement, Real Madrd announced publicly that there are more COVID cases, as ‘Cadena COPE’ journalist Miguel Angel Diaz had already announced. 

The four players Ancelotti will be missing are Bale, Lunin, Rodrygo and Asensio. These players will quarantine at home and wait until they test negative before returning to training. 

In addition, assistant coach Davide Ancelotti has tested positive. Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s test came back negative so he will be able to keep on coaching the team.
