Cristiano Ronaldo met with Alex Ferguson to ask for advice on his future
Cristiano Ronaldo has still got a year left on his Man Utd contract. The Portuguese star has a contract at the English club until 30th June 2023 although the team’s difficult situation could lead to him leaving.
A lot has been spoken about in recent days over the former Juventus man departing this summer despite the fact Erik ten Hag, who will become the Man Utd manager in the summer, wants the Portuguese striker to stay.
But, according to the ‘Mirror’, Cristiano Ronaldo has met on several occasions with the former Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson to ask for advice over his future.
Apparently, the ex-Real Madrid forward has had several private meetings with the Man Utd legend both at his own and in Ferguson’s to get to know Sir Alex’s opinion. Ferguson signed the player when he was just 19.
The veteran 37 year-old striker is in a difficult situation because when he left Juventus, he wanted to return to Old Trafford to take his team to the highest level, something he has not been able to achieve.
Now, his nine brilliant seasons at Real Madrid seem a long time ago. That was the club he won most trophies for and he scored a whopping 450 goals in 438 competitive matches. We will have to wait until summer to see whether CR7 decides to change team once again.
