Barcelona deny Mbappe interest

Mbappe’s future is up in the air. His PSG contract expires in June and, beyond that date, the Frenchman’s future is unknown. Real Madrid are the team most interested in his services, but they are not the only ones. 

In the last few hours, ‘L’Equipe’ said Real Madrid’s biggest rivals, Barcelona, were in the race to sign Mbappe. However, the club have played this down. At the moment, according to ‘Mundo Deportivo’, there has not been any contact to persuade the attacker to sign for Barcelona. 

It is true that Barca are looking for attackers, but Mbappe would not be in the list of favourites, at least not up to now. For that reason, the club have not even tried to gauge the striker’s interest. 

Barcelona have a very clear plan for this summer. The main option in attack is Erling Haaland. If they are unable to reach an agreement with the Borussia Dortmund man, Salah is their second choice. Lewandowski and Lukaku are both lower down in Barca’s list than the Egyptian. 

The Mbappe saga continues. Time passes and the attacker is keeping quiet. In the meantime, PSG are trying to keep him however possible at the Parc des Princes. The Frenchman are willing even to let him, like Messi, be the one to control all his image rights. That would allow him to earn much more money each year. 

Regardless of whether Barca will fight or not for Mbappe, ‘AS’ stats that Real Madrid are calm on it. Real Madrid are convinced that the footballer will play for them next season and the fact their big rivals have being linked with him does not trouble them in the slightest.
