Robert Lewandowski is still one of the players with the highest value in the market. Not because Bayern Munich are selling him, but because the Pole wants to leave the Bavarian outfit.

Thousands of kilometres away in the Catalan capital, Barcelona have not forgotten about the striker, who they have made several offers for and always had the same answer: no.

There is still a lot of the summer still to go and, despite the fact Lewandowski has passed his customary medical at Bayern, Barcelona are hopeful they can get the goalscorer.

In fact, ‘RMC Sport’ reports that they will present the Germans with another offer, their fourth this season. On this occasion, the figure goes up to 50 million euros plus add-ons.

Precisely 50 million euros is what Bayern Munich were asking for in order to let the footballer, who has made it clear in every way possible that he wants to leave, go.

Lewandowski understands that his time at the German club has come to an end, and has urged the Bundesliga club in recent weeks to accept Barca’s offer.

Is there a deadline?

Despite the fact the transfer window closes on 1st September, ‘COPE’ indicates that 16th July, in other words, this Saturday, is the deadline to complete the Pole’s transfer.

This is because this is the day of Bayern Munich’s official presentation in front of their fans and it would be strange to see Lewandowski there if he will going to leave the club just weeks later.

Lewandowski’s contract with the German side expires on 30th June 2023. Therefore, Bayern have finally accepted to negotiate his departure with Barcelona.
