Benzema, a serious doubt for ‘El Clasico’ in Las Vegas

Real Madrid and Barcelona confirmed a month ago that they would meet in July in Las Vegas and in the fourth ‘El Clasico’ away from Spain. Both clubs decided to play another ‘Clasico’ in the USA. 

It will be a sell-out for the game which will take place at 5am in Spain and one of the main absentees could be that of French striker Karim Benzema. 

The footballer will not join Real Madrid for pre-season in these days because he will have extra holiday because of the international games and because of his effort throughout the season. 

This means that Benzema will go to Los Angeles on 19th July, just three days before ‘El Clasico’. Benzema will have had just three training sessions. 

Carlo Ancelotti is not going to take risks, so thought will be given whether to leave Benzema out or not, ‘AS’ reports. With just three sessions to his belt, there is a high risk of him getting injured due to his period of inactivity.
