He is now in Miami. Robert Lewandowski has arrived in the USA to meet his new Barcelona teammates and join them for pre-season. They are set for severan friendlies against Inter Miami, Real Madrid, Juventus and New York Red Bulls.
Barca’s brand new signings has been able to say hello one by one to his new teammates and they will be in the USA until 31st July which when the club returns home.
And on his arrival in Miami, the new Barca star has given comments to the club’s official media outlets: “Finally I’m here. I’m very happy to be at Barca. The last few days have been long, but, in the end, the agreement has come true.”
“I’m prepared to face this new challenge in my career. I’m a guy who likes winning matches and trophies. I hope the season starts and ends well in this sense. I’ve always wanted to play in a big club in La Liga and this is a great opportunity for me. It’s also a challenge for my private life,” the 33 year-old Polish striker said.
In addition, Lewandowski has explained that the presence of Xavi Hernandez on the bench has been another reason to sign for Barcelona: “It was easy making the decision. I want to play and win titles and I know that with Xavi this will be very possible. He knows perfectly how to coach Barcal. He was an incredible player and now he’s a great coach.
“I’m here to help the club return to the top and win as many as titles as possible. I’m a footballer who always wants to win. We have great players, with lots of quality, in the squad. I’m excited with what we can all achieve together,” Lewandowski concluded.
