“Ander Herrera had talks over a move to Barça”
The Spanish midfielder started his career at Zaragoza. He then signed for Athletic Bilbao, after a couple of years Manchester United bought him before his move to PSG.
Pedro Herrera, father of the PSG player revealed to ‘L’Equipe’ that his son was in talks with Barcelona over a move.
“At one moment of his career, Ander was in talks with Barça but for various reasons his signing was not completed“, revealed Ander’s father. Despite a failed move, Herrera doesn’t regret anything: “This didn’t stop him to play for one of the top three teams in Spain, because for him, the biggest club in Spain is Real Zaragoza, where he started”.
He loves Zaragoza that much that he is trying to become a shareholder of the club. During the interview the journalists asked Herrera’s father if he thought that his son could one day be Zaragoza’s president. “I don’t know, but he will be influential that is for sure.”
