Catalonia eases restrictions and the ‘Clasico’ will be able to hold almost 60,000 spectators
The Catalan government confirmed on Tuesday that the spectator limit for events held in stadiums with more than 10,000 seats will be increased to 60% of the total capacity. This measure will come into effect from next weekend.
Therefore, the ‘Clasico’ between Barcelona and Real Madrid, which will be played at the Camp Nou on 24th October, will be able to count on almost 60,000 spectators in the stands after the 20% increase announced.
This measure will avoid a problem for the azulgrana entity in the face of the most awaited match of the year. The club will not have to raffle tickets among its members, who, as of today, number just over 57,000.
Before the ‘Clasico’, Barcelona will already enjoy this increased fan limit in two matches at the Camp Nou. The first will be on Sunday 17th October against Valencia, while the second will correspond to the third matchday of the Champions League against Dynamo Kiev.
