Carlo Ancelotti is not as sure as Mauricio Pochettino is that Kylian Mbappe will be staying at PSG. The Italian coach will be giving the French player a warm welcome into his Real Madrid squad this summer should Mbappe decide to swap Paris for Madrid during the transfer window.
In his most recent press conference, the Argentinian manager said that he is 100% certain that both Mbappe and himself will remain in the French capital next season. However, when his Italian counterpart spoke to the media ahead of Real’s match against Espanyol on Saturday at the Bernabeu, his words countered those of Pochettino.
“In their press conferences, managers can’t tell the whole truth, it’s quite normal. I believe that right now, the only two things a ‘Madridista’ is thinking about are: winning this Saturday and then Wednesday. We, as we are, all think the same. After the City match, the players were already thinking of Espanyol”, he affirmed.
In can be understood from the first few words of his comments, that Ancelotti wanted to say that Pochettino should not be so sure that Mbappe is going to stay in his team. In any case, only two months remain until the Frenchman’s future is known. His current contract is due to end in the summer and he is still yet to confirm whether or not Madrid will be his next destination.
